Many of you think I’ve got plenty of leisure time but contrary to popular belief between various doctors’ appointments and daily happenings I have very little. A lot of my posts and stories have begun in the waiting room area and eventually finished at home where I publish off my laptop.

When the question “What do you enjoy doing most in your leisure time” came up I was in the grocery and decided to combine it with National Compliment Day on January 24.

In doing so, I posted an Instagram story asking friends and followers alike to submit a compliment to me with the understanding I’d use it in a blog but would keep their names private. The real surprise to them now, is I will be complementing you here after I share your compliment.

Malinda: A Song Made of Compliments

Here are Your Compliments

Thank you for always visiting” was one of the first to come through. To the writer I say, ‘you’re welcome’. That’s what social media is for in my opinion. To uplift one another and your feed and photos are fantastic. Glad to see age doesn’t define you!

You are strong” My Strength comes from you and all the others that read my words. I really have no choice while the thoughts of cancer roam my mind. Your feed is fantastic, and I see a great career in front of you. Thank you.

You are amazing” I can’t ‘thank’ you enough for these three words and will leave it at that. But it is you that is truly ‘amazing.’ So young and an inspiration to all. If only the world seen life through your eyes! Keep those dreams and aspirations high, you’ll achieve them!

You are a great writer, and I love your website” comes from one of the movie industries finest and has me blushing. ‘Thank you.’ You’ve been a huge part of my success, and it would’ve never happened without you. I am so proud to call you friend and will have your back whenever you need me. Your kindness and openness in a world of chaos is second to none. Keep up the great work!

Talented writer, kind human, friendly persona” Now this is heartwarming because it’s who I focus on being in life. Coming from a screen legend across the pond whose made her mark in not only one career but two it’s truly special. Even more special is the fact that you break the stigma of stars not being the same. You really are a kind human with a friendly persona! Never change.

Your strength and resilience is remarkable” OMG I know you well enough to understand you don’t use words lightly and coming from you this means the world to me. These words really belong to YOU as I have never met anyone that’s come from where you have been to where you are now. Not even a war suppressed your ambitions of being onscreen and achieving a top-notch education. Thank you, my friend always wishing you the best!

Rick is very kind & thoughtful” Talk about blushing! Your words to me are you as well. Salamat po! You popped into my life when I needed you most. Your heart is real. Caring souls are rare these days and you’ve been there through the worst of times and now the best of times. Few I would do anything for, and you are one of them. I mean that! Plus, I love your writings and secretly (no more) they’ve inspired my direction. You’re the best!

You are a kind person” aww ‘thank you!‘ I’ve never said it publicly until now. I’m that way because I know what it’s like to not have seen it a big part of my life and even in recent years. It’s something I give so others don’t feel the same. But it is your kindness and sharing I cherish. I’ve learned so much from you and that’s priceless!

Love your writing style” That’s so sweet of you, thank you, it means a lot. But talking of sweet you have a marvelous page! I hunger at every glance and love each treat you show. Keep them coming!

Nice haircut brother Rick” I should’ve seen this one coming, LOL, Thank you. Not really my brother but definitely from a ‘best friend,’ and I’m glad you’re in my life. By the way, it’s a #1 all the way around. Karma, I suppose for teasing my uncles, while I was a child, of their receding hairlines.

You Rock” Nessuno me l’ha mai detto prima e non poteva provenire da un’anima più gentile e comprensiva (No one has ever said this to me before and it couldn’t have come from a nicer and more understanding soul) Merci! You know I like to drive you crazy it’s because I can and know it makes you smile. Forever friends.

You are so thoughtful, understanding and kind” When I saw you hurting, I couldn’t just stand by and not help. Those feelings of pain and loneliness are too destructive to be left alone. I know. Still have bad days from time to time. But helping others get through theirs, helps me as well. We have no choice but to stay strong but trust me you’ll get there. Sending hugs and love your way.

I love your optimism and your smile always. You are a ray of light in the darknessWOW I’m speechless here. I mean that and am happier than ever it comes from you. Your light brings me sunshine daily and a real warmth to my soul that I hope never extinguishes. ありがとう

Thirteen replies to a mere story wondering what others think. You are all special to me not for replying but for who you are. From Hollywood to London England and parts in between, you bring me happiness in what I’m doing here. I thank you all once again!

This is what I do in my leisure time. I try to make others feel special. I challenge you to do the same and see the pleasure it brings you.
