What a year 2023 turned into. I’m not even going to rehash its memories. Rather I’m going to give thanks for the good that’s came along and offer hope for things that can be changed. That being said, I’ll always remember this line William told Rebecca on an episode of ‘This Is Us.’

“If something makes you sad when it ends, it must have been pretty wonderful when it was happening,” he said to her as she lay dying. But in the living, things can still be changed. *More on that below, as I lead in with one of two favorite movies of mine during 2023, ‘Guardians of the Galaxy 3’ the other was ‘Barbie the Movie.’

Favorite Movie Line:

My ‘movie line’ of the year has to go to Marvel’s Guardian of the Galaxy 3′ when Chris Pratt as Peter Quill says he was “Just some dumbass Earth dude, who met a girl, fell in love, that girl died and then came back a total dick.”

The movie clip I can laugh at. Real life I couldn’t. And by chance you think it’s about you…nah. Just a little humor here. I loved the movie!

Friend Awards:

Thought I’d create some AWARDS for some of you that are close to me. Hope you get a kick out of them.
Remember, they’re from the heart. Yet, one is missing for *Gamora,’ actually the actress who would have loved the role and would receive the same as the first award winner. Yeah, I know you read my blogs. Thanks for the hidden support.

As I include the song Auld Lang Syne, I’m reminded of its opening lyrics. “Should auld acquaintance be forgot, and never brought to mind?”

No, I won’t forget, and they’ll always be a part of me. As I hope, all of mine will be with you forever as well. But why should we live joyfully just one holiday season out of the year? We can change that; tell someone you care about them daily. I tell each of you all the time what you mean to me. It’s rather simple. Try it!

I’ll leave you with this quote from my other favorite movie of 2023.

“I want to be a part of the people that make meaning. Not the thing that is made,” Barbie. We all want that and that’s what I am attempting. Thank you all for your support and I wish each and every one on this great big planet called Earth a …
