As they’re always changing
Daily Prompt’s Question of the Day is “What are your top ten favorite movies?” Here is an attempt at mine.
- Slience of the Lambs …Have always been a Jodie Foster fan and what’s not to say about Anthony Hopkins.
2) Field of Dreams …Two more super actors Kevin Costner and James Earl Jones and a script that delivers hope and dreams. Not to mention the appearance of Burt Lancaster.
3) Enola Holmes … Although a series Milly Bobbi Brown plays an amazing character
4) Saving Private Ryan … With the two Tom’s, Hanks and Sizemore, plus the limited appearance of Matt Damon as Private Ryan a war movie devoted to a world lacking empathy and simply doing the ‘right thing’ I deliberately give you a clip without them
5) Gone with the Wind … Frankly My Dear I don’t give a Damn. Clark Gable and Vivien Leigh not many any better
6) Titanic … An amazing cast staring Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet. And if you’re reading this, maybe I still live on as your Jack as I won’t let go either. Talk about unconditional love.
7) Hidden Figures … Seriously more Black History needs to be taught and aired. Strong cast of leading black actress’ that included Janelle Monae, Octavia Spencer, and Taraji Henson combined with Kevin Costner made a fine movie.
8) Amistad … Morgan Freeman, Anthony Hopkins, Matthew McConaughey along with Djimon Hounsou is an outstanding film of slavery, the high seas with court drama deciding freedom.
9) Ghost … Patrick Swayze, Demi Moore and Whoopi Goldberg. The best kind of ghost story one drawn from love.
10) Interstellar … Matthew McConaughey, Anne Hathaway and Jessica Chastain Has everything from love, heart break, adventure and what could be (not) so sci fi space action.
There are so many to choose from to say these are even my favorites can be a deception. Thinking of all the foreign films I’ve watched and loved is a list in its own.
Hope you enjoy my selections.
