What Advice would you give to your Teenage Self? – DP QOTD
I was asked this question last year as well in a ‘Meet Me‘ interview by my therapist, Agnieszka Rdesinska. She had turned the tables on me knowing that I write about people here, by writing about me, as a part of my healing journey.

We all wonder in silence of turning back time and what we’d do differently in hopes of making her or him love us. Or to make a bad decision better and I’m no different.
I had set no guidelines to the questions going in. And even if we had, I wouldn’t have ignored this one. But it is a daunting inquire because if you could give advice to your teenage self, Imagine the changes your life would take. From rags to riches. Friendships would never happen so others could. Lost loves to an entirely different family.
What would you be willing to lose for something to gain? That’s the question I asked myself before answering Agnieszka.
And immediately decided, ‘I Wouldn’t Have Missed It for the World.’
Not a single love would I want altered, for in their time they were ‘My Love.’ Not a single dollar spent or windfall of more would I want, as that would transform things too. Nor a single memory washed, regardless of the joy or pain it brought.
What I did say to Agnieszka in that ‘Meet Me‘ highlighted above, I stick to this day. However, I will add this “If ands and buts were candy and nuts everyday would-be Christmas,” because you’d never know happiness if that’s all you ever had.
Yet, in the spirit of this daily prompt I’d tell myself to stay patient with others. To love each one for all your worth and tell them often, even when you’re parting ways…
…Because life really is too short and regardless of our destiny, “I Will Always Love You.”
