Dinosaurs for Learning

July 27, 2024

I’ve recently attended The Henry Ford Museum in Dearborn, Michigan where they are currently displaying ‘Dinosaurs’ in Motion.’ The display is a unique setup of medal sculptured dinosaurs’ where you can move and engage various creatures.

It’s truly an amazing learning experience for both young and old and runs through September 8th.

Here’s one being operated by an old Pushman rail cart type setup that the user manually pumps.

The larger ones like this T-Rex, actually does take some strength to get moving, as you can clearly tell at the end.

Here you can explore how dinosaurs lived in the past without being eaten by bringing them back to life. Included in the movable sculptures are Tyrannosaurus Rex, Parasaurolophus, Ouranosaurus, Gastornis (also known as Diatryma), Struthiomimus, Ornithomimus Twins, Plesiosaurus, Deinonychus, Diplodocus (Juvenile), American Crow and Whooping Crane. Stationary sculptures are Pachycephalosaurus Twins, Triceratops and Ankylosaurus.

If you’re still insistent on bringing a prehistoric creature back, you can bring Godzilla back every few years as the giant dude is a part of world folklore. And I do love a good Godzilla flick.

You can find my sites on Linktree and if you enjoy my writings, please consider hitting that cup of coffee and making a donation. Thank you!
