To Adult or Not to Adult

Hopefully William Shakespeare doesn’t mind my run on his famous line, but that’s been the week in a nutshell. Plus, he really can’t say much about it now, can he?

FRI-YAY

Sometimes, a week can leave us feeling like we just need to let our thoughts flow freely without any particular direction. It’s a way to clear the mind and make sense of the day’s events. Embracing these moments can be refreshing and even enlightening.

So, this is my now.

I’m not sure how refreshing ‘adulting’ can be, but I’m sure it will definitely turn out enlightening. Hopefully in a favorable manner by July. I shall wait, communicate and eventually see. And no, I won’t give it away. That too, is part of ‘adulting.’

There was another adult moment this week as well that I’ve put off until now. Something that bothered me and although it didn’t hurt, it falls under the ‘expectation’ category I wrote of earlier this week. Through therapist and friend, Agnes, I’ve learned there are some ‘healthy’ expectations we deserve.

In this one, I deserved, in the very least an explanation, but wasn’t afforded one. Rather, ‘discombobulated’ was used, and it in my book, that word doesn’t fall into any definition or reasoning of an excuse for anything. Enough said.

Speaking of Agnes, I sent her this and asked her what she would tell me if I lost my memory, as she knows more about me than anyone else here,

She replied, “I’d send you all our articles 😁🥰.” WOW I though, would I really want to know what’s in them if I had already forgotten?

“It wouldn’t hit the same way if you haven’t remembered the pain. It’s as if I told you now that you’ve been through something horrible, like a war – but you can’t remember anything.” while concluding, Agnes added., “you would just be like “oh, interesting.”

Who would you ask, try it and see what they say.

By the way, Agnes, I love the finishing touch…smiling for my happiness and love because you really care…🥰😁 for you too!

Birthday Month

June is right around the comer, and I can’t wait to kick it off right. Wanted to see the Tigers again at Fenway in Boston, However, they are there over Memorial Day Weekend and not only travel prices jacked, so are the accommodations. Beantown will have to wait, but I will return to my second home soon. Perhaps for a play, we shall see.

I will kick it off by spending time downtown watching the Detroit Grand Prix and although I’m not fond of the setup, too much walking, Indy Car races are fun to attend.

2023 DTGP

Then at the end of June, Ill head to Minneapolis to see the Tigers play the Twins over the ‘Fourth of July,’ Hopefully meet up with M and N for a game and have a grand time with former Pade Pourer and his better half.
