I don’t think I’m out of the ordinary when it comes to their use. Except for the fact I portray the ‘real person‘ I am as opposed to coming across as ‘choregraphed.’
So many people you see out here have no interest in anything but their own agenda and even hurting people doesn’t bother them. I try to be uplifting, open and transparent.
Within the past 15 months I’ve used them to promote my blogs on healing and a multitude of issues ranging from a broken friendship, heart disease, cancer and its treatment. But what has gone over nicely are the ‘Meet Me’ interviews I’ve incorporated into my site. Folk’s love reading about one another from around the world. I interview friends and followers of mine, even some that don’t follow. People love meeting new people!
In the past, I used them to connect with family and old friends, then it turned to political issues and more so now, it’s been about me. In the wake of healing, I’ve discovered there is empathy out there and most people really care for one another. Plus, I’ve made some amazing new friends and have reconnected with someone that’s been out of my life for decades. Now that’s fun!
How do I use social media? I use it to bring smiles to people’s faces and information, so the music doesn’t die.
