And The Surprises Inside

July 9, 2023

I’m taking ‘Boxing Day‘ to a new level by un-boxing in July. No more fitting of a response, since the package was shipped from the United Kingdom to me by artist/creator and newfound friend Jane Dennis (@janedennis_art) | Instagram

Jane is another unique find for myself in my never-ending quest for expanding my happiness and joy. My self-proclaimed life altering mode. And honestly, I’m enjoying the ride. Keep the good and ditch the rest. This is happiness and how it happens.

This is the box I’ll be un-boxing! It’s the first of its kind for me from the UK. Yes, I’m going to make it a big deal! Laughing in fun.

I met Jane on Instagram. She asked me once how I found her account and I had to give her my most unbiased guess, the social media sites algorithm, I credited. As it turns out, she has been a great discovery and friend.

There’s going to be plenty of anticipation during this un-boxing event. But I must say, I do feel a bit sad Jane had to use so much wrapping and packaging materials. As I’m sure it ate into her small profit off the sale. But more on that a bit later.

I knew what I had ordered yet was not expecting this. Even before I had started un-boxing, I sensed I had to video the event as a means to help promote my new friend’s artistic and crafting geniuses.

At this point, I began to get excited. My mind wondered if there could be yet another box inside of this un-boxing.

Now I’m thinking of Janes’s comment, after I sent her the picture of the package’s safe arrival. She had some concerns. “I will be nervous now that they are all ok in there the suspense is killing me,” she messaged back after I told her the unveiling would happen later in the day. Saturday and preceding Friday had been very busy days for me, as I was dealing with GoDaddy over the phone for hours on end, on my site’s technical difficulties that they could not seem to detect let alone fix. And to have yet corrected.

YODA

I immediately un-wrapped Yoda. He wasn’t my targeted purchase that led me to Jane’s 34DArtByJane – Etsy site. But soon as I seen him, I knew he needed a good home. “He is so cute will be sad to see him go,” she had said after discovering I had decided to adopt him.

The Ceramic Mini Jelly Babies, below, were my initial inspiration, to place around my train set. While the Christmas Penguin was an added surprise addition. I just may order a second, to add to my tree this holiday season. Hopefully, Jane, by me doing so it will help offset your packaging loss from my first order. Yes, I’ll become a repeat purchaser.

Yoda and Friends

It’s only July and the holiday season is still months away. But if you’re in the mood check out Jane’s shop. She has a lot of fun stuff there and it’ll be well worth your effort. Some of the cooler things might not be available months down the road, so why not shop now?

Thank you, Jane, and like I said, “I’ll feed them, rock them to sleep, I’ll sing to them (better not they might want to go back home: I sing terrible).” Most importantly, they’ll be well cared for and be sure to look for them in my photos. Especially Yoda, I hear he’s a photo bomber.

why not smile
