Daily Prompt QOTD

The last thing I got excited about was seeing my bone scan results this past Thursday. For over two years now I have been fighting cancer and even after radiation therapy doctors were concerned it had spread.

The Pointer Sisters: I’m So Excited

Lowered PSA numbers had started bouncing off the wall as they reached levels exceeding their highs before radiation therapy two years prior. Which drew serious concerns.

But Thursday 8/21/25 the scan was done and later that afternoon the results came back negative.

Cancer still may be there, but it’ll be far easier to battle than had it, had spread.

For more on that fight read my article, ‘Has Cancer Returned: My Journey and Today’s Bone Scan Results.’

This is reason for my excitement. What is the last thing that got you excited?

Wow, that’s truly inspiring! 🙌 Getting such positive bone scan results after fighting cancer for over two years is not just exciting, it’s life-changing. The strength, resilience, and hope you’ve shown through radiation therapy, fluctuating PSA numbers, and the uncertainty of possible spread is remarkable.

Hearing that the scan came back negative on 8/21/25 is a victory worth celebrating—not just medically, but emotionally and spiritually too. 🌟 Even if the journey isn’t over, knowing the cancer hasn’t spread makes the fight ahead so much more manageable.

Thank you, Rohitash! The prompt truly served a greater purpose. My cancer story may be about me but giving others suffering a similar fate the ability to see it’s beatable is the goal. And your words that “excitement doesn’t always come from material things—it comes from hope, health, and milestones that truly matter” need to be echoed throughout the universe. Material things come and go but we get ‘JUST ONE LIFE’ we need to learn to appreciate it even greater! Thank you again!!!

You’re absolutely right — we only get one life, and it becomes truly meaningful when we cherish health, hope, and moments that matter. Thank you for reminding us all of that — your courage lights the path for many! 🌟💪
