Daily Prompt’s QOTD

Describe one of your favorite moments is the days, Daily Prompt Question of the Day. Yesterday brought a now favorite moment that still has me in laughter when I think about it.

Many of you know I battle heart disease, grief over a lost friendship and have been battling cancer over two years. There was some good news on the latter but I’m saving that for another blog. But yesterday, Friday the 13th and my birthday, I had a doctor’s appointment with my primary physician.

Doc, she’s great. ‘She’s Got a Way‘.

After the niceties and formalities, we always get personal. Yesterday was no different. We talked about her electronic bicycle, given as a gift, coming to a complete stop, while out riding, because of the lack of a downloadable app and being forced to peddle back in third gear.

Then her daughters trip back to Boston and our love for Beantown. We also talked about our future, individual, trips. I haven’t planned any, because of my cancer setbacks and unknown schedule.

Before I left, we decided on some selfies together. While trying to grab a few, she went into what one can best describe as ‘crack up mode.’ She had me laughing so hard over nothing in particular I fought to keep a straight face for the photos.

OMG it was like she was saying ‘Shut Up and Dance‘ and go with the flow. That moment I forgot about all my troubles. All the grief and mental anguish was, and to this moment, gone. Just happiness remains. Proof ‘laughter is the best medicine.’ And Doc had just prescribed it.
