Cancer Sucks

No beating around the bush. I’ll just say it. My Prostate-Specific Antigen (PSA) levels have nearly doubled since February.

Being Tested

It doesn’t mean the cancer has returned. It could be what is called a bounce. However, my urologist is as concerned as I, it could be something worse.

Anxiety has begun while I wait till morning to schedule the appointment. as the office is closed as I type this. This will be my second such test as I had one prior to radiation therapy in 2023. You can read about the first here.

Honestly, the worse part, other than thinking about the cancer’s return, is waiting for the insurance company’s approval. The first test took some waggling from my oncologist to get it. Hopefully, he’ll come through once more. I see him next week.

I’ve always included some music to my articles and today will be no different. This time inspired by his 2023 Christmas Special that I watched after a radiation therapy session, I give you Barry Manilow. Whom, by the way, I will see in concert thanks to our local senior center’s invitation in early June.

I Made It Through the Rain: Barry Manilow

I dedicate this to lifelong friend Linda H. with a snicker included. ‘I Made It Through the Rain‘ once before and I will again.
