2023 was the toughest year for me during my entire existence. In mid-February I suffered a broken heart, followed by actual heart ailments that required procedures and a surgery, only to toss in a positive cancer diagnosis during, of all months, my birthday month, June.
So, entering the Holiday Season at years end and days prior to the start of radiation therapy, I asked friends to choose new ornaments for my Christmas Tree as a means to cheer up.
And that they did!
And they are ‘Worth A Lot to Me’ including two self-picks that reminded me of others that hadn’t picked one out for one reason or another.
It’s these ‘personal belongings’ that I treasure most and the heartfelt friendships that had chosen them. Never before had I felt such a sense of LOVE and caring towards me. I can actually say, I can look at each ornament and tell who chose it and they will ALL go up again on my tree, every year, for the rest of my life.
