Another Day in the Healing

Thirteen months later and I’m so tired of writing about it. But the feelings won’t go away like she did.

I had seen this at ‘the beginning of the end’ with no explanation. Not a day since have I not thought about if it were for me or her.

Then there was this, as the final thoughts had needed courage. I replied, “No. It hurts.” Then she was gone and to this day it still hurts.

Several months passed when Holliewould (@holliewould) | TikTok, also on TikTok, came across my feed. Damn that algorithm, saying what I thought all along on ‘Ghosting.’

I know Najwa is right, I’ve always thought that too, and probably will for life. But the past year, plus, has had me thinking like Curly in City Slickers.

Unfortunately, it’s ended like S3 E4 of Nashville.

Yet through all the pain, I’ve never wished I hadn’t met her and never will.
