Cancer Update:
Treatment is finally nearing as I was awaiting on a date from the hospital for the cancer ‘markers’ to be placed. That’ll take place at the end of next week. Approximately two weeks later, I’ll return for that’s called a ‘planning session.’ There, they will form a mold and to the best of my understanding, it will align with the markers and that’s where the radiation will be pinpointed at the disease. Two weeks from that date, treatment will actually begin. A double dose every other day for five days. This is in fact the same treatment I had opted for before the PET scan was recommended last month. Those results came back favorable, thus I’m back on track.
Cardiologist:
Had a visit with Dr S yesterday and all went well. New ICD, that was placed in early March, is operating fine and heart is still in rhythm. That’s always good to know, as I am in no mood to relive the events that took place at the end of this past winter and into spring which seen a surgery to replace the unit, two cardiac ablations and a cardioversion. Coupled with emotional stress of a broken friendship those months have been the worst of my life. I may have smiled and put on a good front, but I was far from stable. Thanks again to those of you that I reached out to, and still do from time to time, for your loving support. It honestly saved me!
Urology:
Was scheduled with urology today, Dr L, but because of the added PET scan last month, along with nothing new to report on treatment, appointment was adjourned until mid-December.
As you can tell this has been a ‘Star Wars’ themed blog which included the ‘Disney Baseball Cap Hat – Star Wars Sequined Rebel (yourwdwstore.net)‘ which, if any of you think, would add some class to my ‘Wall of Hats’ I’d graciously accept! But above is the ‘Star Wars 40th Anniversary Hat’ tag which I recently cut off one of my newest hats, so ‘The Force’ would be with me during my cancer battle and lighten things up a bit.
