Cancer Chronicles<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

     Doogie was up to his old self today talking his mumbo jumbo medical jargon, but I’m hip to him. I retain enough and know how to google. So there! Remember, I love those two-word sentences. – Rick<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

     MORE TESTS:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

     If you’ve followed along my prostate cancer <\/strong>journey, you’re aware I refer to my Radiation Oncologist<\/strong> as Dr Z<\/strong>. But I compare him to the fictional show Doogie Howser, MD’<\/strong>s <\/strong>lead character because of his youthful look and the nature about him. He’s all professional, however, yet to learn enough medical layman language as we humans speak and understand it. Why do I keep him you ask. Because he’s good and that forces me to do my own research as well in understanding what’s going on in my body and what he intends to do about curing it. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

     I wasn’t sure what today’s visit would bring. Whether treatment was to begin or a mere review of the CT <\/strong>I had prior to traveling to Boston<\/strong> and the MRI<\/strong> that was done immediately upon my return. Which is exactually what it happened to be about. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

     We went into his office and before he begun going over the MRI results, he said the CT came back good. And left it at that. Meaning to me whatever ever he was looking for was either present or not present. That was good for me too. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

     ‘Doogie,’<\/strong> with his medical knowledge superiority in full gear, tried to explain the views on the CD I had boughten along with the MRI imagines. As I stood over him, he guided the mouse back and forth pointing out various spots, while doing his best for me to comprehend. The views were noting but blurs for my visual aptitude, but I did understand what he was saying.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

     He wasn’t completely sure what he spotted near the base of my Seminal glad was cancer, so he suggested a consul with my urologist and the hospitals staff who reads such imagines. He, also, wants to obtain the notes from the hospital where I had the MRI taken at. They are two different facilities. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

     If it is cancer, he brought up the possibility the treatment sessions may be changed to lengthier ones and could include hormone treatments as well. All the while knowing we could go ahead with the regular treatment sessions I had originally planned, I said let’s do it right, the first time. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

     I do not want to be back at square one months or even years down the road. That is no option. Do it right the first time and get it over with.<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n

     A follow-up appointment for next month has been scheduled as well as a bone density test in two weeks. Pending is a PET scan, which awaits insurance approval.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

     HOW DUMB:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

     <\/strong>Don’t go thinking I forgot my sidenote. Trust me I haven’t!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

     To the female employee in the Kroger <\/strong>Deli, you need to learn your job! When a customer orders eight pieces of chicken from behind your counter, that is what he expects. He does NOT want eight pieces from under a heating lap in the isle! Be grateful you have a job and not cancer. And you wonder why I walked away in disgust without any at all. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
