From Dublin to Boston<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Instagram’s algorithm is at it again. It had to be the Boston connection. But I do have quite a few actors, singers and tv personalities as friends too. She could’ve been tied to them. Happily, though, it did its thing once more and Annmarie Murray found her way to me and here’s her story – Rick<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

     On the American Dream <\/strong>   <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Annmarie Murry hails from\u00a0Dublin, Ireland<\/strong>\u00a0and for less than a year has called\u00a0Boston\u00a0<\/strong>home. Arriving shortly before\u00a0Christmas 2022<\/strong>\u00a0her sights have been set on the American Dream. A dream she says that started at a young age. “I was told stories that a lot of Irish left Ireland when they were younger and came to America where they worked very hard and became successful,” she says in the soft but direct Irish accent that we Americans have become accustomed to.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0I sensed she was a charmer with a goal at first. Yet by questions end, I see a driven young woman on a mission. She continues, “So as a kid that kind of story stays in your mind and you kind of wonder about it. But having traveled around I think that once your confidant and rooted and positive in your own mind, you can be successful anywhere in the world. And it doesn’t necessarily have (to be) in America. What draws me to America, is that I feel they always have a positive attitude to everything. No matter what age what their limits are. I just feel like, they always take on something and go like yeah I’m going to take on my dreams.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Background and Gyn Beginnings<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

     <\/strong>Annmarie was nearing eighteen when she began a life in the gym and, by her accounts, says “Academically I wasn’t bad, but I didn’t feel like I wanted to finish school. I wanted to work. I wanted to earn my own way. It wasn’t uncommon in those days, there were two of us, my brother was the eldest and he was the boy, so he went to college.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

     “I felt like I needed something to ground me and that’s where the gym came into play. I joined the local gym in Crumlin<\/strong> (a Southside suburb of Dublin) and I kind of really got into it. From there when I finished school, my mom had like a little bit of savings, and she gave me the money to enter into a personal training course. And that was the start of my career,” Annmarie tells me. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

     After working at a gym for ten years, she felt as if she hadn’t grown with the company and ventured out on her own. At first it began as AM Fitness Mobile<\/strong> where she would go to clients’ homes for training sessions. Later, through a referral, had met an American<\/strong> that had done a Pilates session with her and was offered the opportunity to continue training him at his home in Massachusetts.  Since then, she has created ‘AM Fitness; On the Go!’ <\/strong> AM Fitness – Pilates Classes and Training<\/strong><\/a>. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
