Meet Me Series<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

We’d been friends a few months when I decided to give one of her books a read. Actually, a listening to on Amazon Audiobooks, Pandora Syndrome: Stories of Ithria<\/a><\/em><\/strong>. It’s a story of a young woman shot at a club who wakes as a vampire afterwards. The rest I’ll leave for you to discover on your own.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I’m good with vampires and immediately decided to ask the author for an interview for my ‘Meet Me<\/a><\/em><\/strong>‘ segment. Excitedly, after a bit of research, I discovered she was much more than an author as her IMDb<\/a><\/em><\/strong> credits confirmed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Where are you originally from?<\/em><\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n

“I am from San Diego and grew up as a nerd, spending my time at Comic-Con and playing D&D in my friend\u2019s garage,” began April. And continued, “As a kid, I loved X-Men and Batman, but as a teen, I became more interested in Star Wars and theatre. I wasn\u2019t the best at school, but I excelled in the arts, especially stagecraft and theatre.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

College?<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

I went to Mesa College in San Diego and graduated with a degree in theatre.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I am currently in San Diego with my husband, taking care of my mother and my four-year-old.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

My family is supportive, even if they don\u2019t always understand my life\u2019s journey.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Favorite TV shows and preferred music genre? <\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

I have several favorite TV shows, a couple of which are The Witcher<\/em>, Drag Race<\/em>, and practically everything Marvel\u2014the sillier, the better. I like ’80s and ’90s music. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

If a movie were made of your life, who would you want to play you as a child and then as an adult and why?<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

If a movie were made about my life, Zendaya\u2019s personality wouldn\u2019t be far off from how I was as a kid. As an adult, I\u2019d say Aubrey Plaza\u2014who I actually got to stand in for on The To-Do List<\/em>\u2014because I feel like I can be a bit of a wild card.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Acting<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

What or who led you to and how long have you been acting? <\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

 I decided to go into acting because I wasn\u2019t really sure what else to do with my life, and I loved movies. I\u2019ve been a SAG actor since 2004. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Do you prefer actor or actress? <\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

I actually prefer the term ‘actor,’ though I\u2019m not sure why. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I had the most fun winning Search for the Next Elvira.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

What\u2019s the biggest role you\u2019ve landed?<\/em><\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Not sure what my biggest role would be\u2014I did a few things when I was working on Young Sheldon.<\/em> My most fun role was probably Elvira because I\u2019ve always loved her and had been dressing up as her since I was 13. I think she\u2019s hilarious and a wonderful woman. Doing some voices for Robot Chicken<\/em> was pretty funny, considering we\u2019d all laugh at the lines after every take. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
