I knew no one was planning to visit and probably not call either, so I was resigned to my cell phone for entertainment for what would turn out to a five-day hospital stay.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">After being moved to a room from recovery, I ran a video of myself being ok to social media and someone had gotten my room&#8217;s direct phone number from it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-video wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-videopress\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe title=\"VideoPress Video Player\" aria-label='VideoPress Video Player' width='421' height='750' src='https:\/\/videopress.com\/embed\/rOnxq1At?cover=1&amp;preloadContent=metadata&amp;useAverageColor=1&amp;hd=0' frameborder='0' allowfullscreen data-resize-to-parent=\"true\" allow='clipboard-write'><\/iframe><script src='https:\/\/v0.wordpress.com\/js\/next\/videopress-iframe.js?m=1739540970'><\/script>\n<\/div><figcaption><strong><em>Hospital 2021<\/em><\/strong><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The day after surgery my room phone had rang, and I answered it.
