Happy Valentine’s Day<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

I’ve never researched the beginnings of Valentines Day, and I feel no need to start now. We know we celebrate it out of love and affection for those that are special to us with cards, roses, chocolates, and such. But do romantic Valentine’s ‘Come at Much Too High a Cost<\/em><\/strong>‘?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Gifting for me hasn’t always been out of the ‘romantic<\/em><\/strong>‘ type of love. More often than not, it’s been simply because I care enough for the individual that I want them to feel special. It’s something I learned in kindergarten as we’d pass out Valentines Cards<\/em><\/strong> to all our classmates. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Yet on several occasions, a few years back, I sent roses to someone very dear to me as well. Mainly as a sign of gratitude for her kindness and caring gestures through the years. Deep inside my soul, however, there were hopes of something more between us in the future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
