Let the Goosebumps Begin<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

     If you’ve been following along, you know this year has been a rough one for me medically and emotionally. From ongoing health issues to personal battles, the year’s been a real struggle. That’s about to change with a return trip to Boston <\/strong>to see my hometown Detroit Tigers<\/strong> take on the Red Sox.<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n

     With things being the way they are, I wasn’t sure this would become a reality. But after some schedule juggling and approval from both urologist and oncologist, along with a little ‘persuasion’ on my part, the trip is officially a go.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

     I had just messaged friend Kristyn Burtt, <\/strong>a real life ‘Barbie Doll’<\/strong> (I’ll blog about her connection with the doll in a future post), if she knew, off hand, of any other events happening in\/around Beantown<\/strong> during my stay. As she’s a native Massachusettsan.<\/strong> Before she could even respond, I found something very exciting that was happening there not long after my arrival.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

     I originally had a ticket for Friday’s opener against the Sox, but later put it up for sale on StubHub <\/strong>(same site I purchased it from) when I discovered what was going down at TD Garden<\/strong> that very same night. Definitely a ‘must see,’<\/strong> I thought! <\/p>\n\n\n\n

     As quickly as I found the event, I messaged Kristyn once more “Ahh same night as baseball game. Ok KB, do i resell game ticket and go to Saturday game instead to watch Lionel?” Her reply was as equally quick, “Ohhhh. Lionel & EWF. you have to!!”<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

     Yes, Lionel Richie<\/strong> and Earth Wind and Fire<\/strong> are playing the same night of the Tigers game and at the same arena I had seen our Detroit Red Wings<\/strong> faceoff against the hometown Bruins<\/strong> last October, during a subsequent trip to my ‘Birthday Month’<\/strong> jaunt in June.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0I’ve been a big fan of Lionel’s throughout the years and can’t wait to do a little\u00a0‘Dancing on the Ceiling’<\/strong>\u00a0at the Garden.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
