One I hope you never have to understand<\/em><\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n

This one hit home and at first read I immediately though honesty and trust.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, after further thought I recalled a conversation I had with my therapist \/ friend Agnieszka yesterday morning. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I woke yesterday feeling down and messaged her this …<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\"<\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

“Woke up this morning feeling it and then this in my feed. Don\u2019t mean to bother you, yeah, you\u2019re thinking I\u2019m no bother, but honestly not use to talking to someone about my problems. Odd how through the surgery\u2019s during years, and even cancer, the thought of or possibility of death didn\u2019t faze me. Yet one person’s lack of humanity can be so painful for so long. Anyway, the ball hit the button in the box and thought \u2018talking\u2019 to you would help and it has\u2026thanks for being a friend wishing you a wonderful afternoon”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Not long after, she replied, “I don’t think it’s odd that the cancer and surgery didn’t impact you as much as broken heart. Cancer and surgery didn’t leave you with so many questions. And trust issues.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It’s more than honesty and trust now. I can’t pinpoint it but if you’ve been hurt like I have you know what I’m talking about. You get a numbness inside and look at everything critical about everyone you know and come across.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You only know you and you want someone like you in your life. But no one can even come close but the one that drove you to this state. People want reassurances you can’t give because you don’t know what it is you seek. You’re lost.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

So, what quality do I value most in a friend? Right now, it would be ‘patience.’<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
