More Hormonal Therapy<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Every three months, I walk into the oncology office, sit down, and let another cancer treatment<\/strong> become part of my story. I never expected to write about this part of my life, but here I am, doing exactly that.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tomorrow I’ll do the same for the fourth time since cancers return. Yet knowing what\u2019s coming doesn\u2019t make it easier.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A lot has happened since the last injection\u2014physically, emotionally, and in the conversations about what comes next. The strange part is that treatment can make you feel like you’re moving forward while, at the same time, you’re standing still.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

That’s the reason I choose to ‘Stay the Course<\/a>‘ rather than being taken off Trelstar and Xtandi. At least the cancer in me isn’t growing and it seems as if we’re doing something rather than sitting on our laurels waiting for better or worse.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Instagram<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

I’ve decided to leave Instagram. It’s something I’ve been thinking about for some time. Now time can be spent with ‘Just Us<\/strong>.’<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But I’ll wait till the end of the month.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Deactivating Instagram<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

I won’t delete it. But I will deactivate it and to the amazement of maybe six people after announcing it yesterday. \ud83d\ude02 Okay, maybe I\u2019m selling that number a little short. I received some comments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tracy Melhorn reminded me that she \u201ccan\u2019t imagine Instagram without\u201d me and told me that my sharing has always been uplifting. She called me an inspiration and went on to say I’d missed. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Then Tara Edwards added that she also couldn’t imagine Instagram without me either, while reminding me that she was happy for this new chapter Maya and I are starting together\u2014and that she’s always praying for me. Tara and I are tight and will always be in contact with one another.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I’m not deactivating it because I stopped caring. Quite the opposite and if you know me you know that’s the truth. Maybe I just need to step away long enough to remember that my life is bigger than a feed, likes, and the algorithm.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
