Cancer and Daily Prompt<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Thursday marked a change in my cancer journey. One that, if I\u2019m being honest, I knew needed to happen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I met with my new medical oncologist, who will now be working alongside my radiation oncologist as part of my treatment team moving forward.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There comes a point where you have to trust your instincts. For me, communication had started to break down with my urologist, and when you\u2019re dealing with something as serious as cancer, that\u2019s not something you can push aside.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This change didn\u2019t come out of nowhere. My radiation oncologist referred me to someone I had actually seen before back in late 2021 into early 2022, when there were concerns about colon cancer. Thankfully, those tests came back negative, and life continued on.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But now, seeing him again in this moment feels different.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There\u2019s a level of comfort in knowing he\u2019s familiar with me, and more importantly, confident in the direction I want to head in. He\u2019ll now be overseeing my hormonal treatment, by continuing the Lupron injections and introducing Enzalutamide. Something I had already begun discussing with my radiation oncologist.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And just as important for my mindset, he agreed that surgery at this point is way too soon. There are still several options to explore, and that reassurance matters more than I can explain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What do I wish I could do more every day?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Feel this.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Clarity. Confidence. Peace of mind.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Walking out of that appointment, knowing I have the right people in my corner\u2026 it reminded me how important those feelings are. Not just in moments like this, but in everyday life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I don\u2019t always get it. Life, health, relationships\u2026 they can all cloud it. But when you do feel it, you realize how much it matters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And if there\u2019s one thing I wish for more of every day\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It\u2019s that sense of peace in knowing you\u2019re exactly where you need to be, doing exactly what you should be doing, with the right people beside you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
