A shirt. Something simple. Something I could take with me.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Not just as a souvenir\u2026 but as a reminder that I was there. That I saw it for myself.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">That I felt something\u2026 even if it wasn\u2019t what I expected.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-align-center\">History<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Michigan Central wasn\u2019t always this way.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Opened in 1913, it stood as one of the grandest train stations in the country. A place where people came and went, where lives were changing in real time. For decades, it carried the weight of a city that was still rising.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Then it sat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Empty for years. But more than that, you feel the shift. Like something that had been left behind finally decided it wasn\u2019t done yet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">There\u2019s no denying the work.
